Managing a construction site from container offices, surrounded by concrete, in Lisbon—where the sun graces the city over 300 days a year—could easily have been a grind. Instead, we turned it into something else entirely: Beato Beach. By adding a pool and reimagining the office environment, we created a space where work met leisure in the most unexpected of ways. For two seasons, our team enjoyed the rare luxury of taking breaks with a quick swim, while weekends saw the space come alive with local events—ranging from basketball clinics to pool parties, fashion pop-ups to skateboarding competitions.

Beato Beach quickly became a symbol of how culture, relaxation, and work-life balance can coexist. One of the proudest moments came when we received the flag of Beato from the local mayor’s delegation, a recognition of our efforts to activate and engage the surrounding community, which was always at the heart of the project.
