In 2022, Sónar+D made its debut in Lisbon, introducing a sustainable model that seamlessly blended with the city’s iconic venues, including the Coliseu dos Recreios, Pavilhão Carlos Lopes, Centro de Congressos de Lisboa, and Hub Criativo do Beato. This inaugural Portuguese edition sought to reimagine the original Sónar, with Sónar+D as its centerpiece—focused on sustainability and featuring a daytime program rich in content.

The event offered a mix of debates, exhibitions, sensory experiences, and multidisciplinary showcases, creating a space where artists, designers, scientists, technologists, anthropologists, and entrepreneurs could converge to explore new ideas. The interaction between digital art and technological innovation, in particular, stood out as a powerful source of inspiration, not only for creatives but also for the entrepreneurial community at Factory Lisbon, where the fusion of these fields continues to drive new possibilities.
