As spring began to bloom and our Cheltenham project drew nearer, we set off on a research and inspiration trip to the Cotswolds. Wanting to avoid the monotony of long highway drives, we opted for a more scenic route—a ferry from Bilbao. It turned out to be the perfect choice, offering a unique approach to the UK, arriving by sea with the island unfolding before us like a royal welcome.
From there, the journey took on a life of its own. The Cotswolds greeted us with an incredible blend of contrasts: delicate blossoms swaying in the countryside breeze, followed by striking brutalist architecture, and an unexpected mix of rural charm meeting the digital age’s modernity. Cheltenham, in particular, felt like an Easter egg waiting to be unwrapped, full of surprises and layers to explore.
It was more than just a trip; it became a journey through time and space, from the old-world allure of stone cottages to the futuristic edge of urban design. Each turn offered fresh inspiration for our project, and we can't wait to bring some of this eclectic charm back with us. Stay tuned as we bring Cheltenham’s essence into our work.
