After years of dedication behind the scenes, we’re thrilled to unveil our plans for Factory Cheltenham.

Today marks a new chapter for our exciting project in Cheltenham. We’re launching Factory Cheltenham, the UK National Cyber Innovation Centre.

We’re excited to be joining a dynamic and nationally significant ecosystem of companies and people working on technical solutions to protect the UK and digital sovereignty globally. This sees us teaming up with local ecosystem leaders CyNam, Hub8, Plexal, and Cheltenham Festivals. Together, we will continue to showcase Cheltenham as the epicentre of the UK CyberTech and National Security innovation sector, attracting top players and innovators to join alongside us.

This will be an effort of many players working together, to lay the foundation to establish both the ecosystem and Factory Cheltenham as a critical national asset.

Opening in 2026, Factory Cheltenham will be the UK National Cyber Innovation Centre – the catalyst for Golden Valley

What’s the plan? What does this mean for the near future?

We’ve got some new events, activities, and projects in the works. The best way to stay informed is to signup for our freshly launched newsletter via the website. But let me elaborate on some key priorities we at Factory want to progress in the upcoming months:

Priority #01: Foster connections between the CyberTech sector and other industries, especially the creative industries.

Priority #02: Build bridges to Cheltenham – both nationally and internationally. We want to tell the untold stories of Cheltenham to the world, and bridge out across the UK and internationally through events and activities.

Priority #03: Create the catalyst for Golden Valley, activating the site together with innovators, creatives, and locals. This must be inclusive to various target audiences, and not just us techies.

Priority #04: Contribute to positive change. This needs to be about more than just economic impact, with a focus on social and environmental as well. This is a new chapter for Factory Cheltenham and Golden Valley. Let’s all move on to building this – together.

A special shout out to our JV partners HBD and Cheltenham Borough Council and all the local friends and supporters who have pushed to get us to this point. A tremendous amount of work is being put into this.
