In the raw, unfinished shell of a future innovation hub on Lisbon’s east side, we hosted An Afternoon of Optimism—a vibrant blend of innovation, sustainability, and creativity. In collaboration with The Ethical Assembly, de:hub, East Side Radio, and Foodriders, the event brought together entrepreneurs, activists, and policymakers to explore new ideas for a sustainable future.

The Ethical Assembly’s Climate Innovation Lounge offered resources for systemic change, while Foodriders set the tone with a sustainable welcome drink. A startup pitch contest, hosted by TechCrunch’s Mike Butcher and organized by de:hub, showcased budding entrepreneurs, adding an exciting competitive edge.

With photo exhibitions, video installations, and the building’s own skeletal structure as a backdrop, the event embodied transformation. Even in its unfinished state, Factory Lisbon buzzed with optimism, signaling a bright future for Lisbon’s innovation landscape.
